Where are your subsea cables? – EM and acoustic AUV based measurements for buried cable tracking and depth estimation

Jun 9, 2023 | webinars

A combination of electric, magnetic and multibeam echosounder data is used for efficient and accurate estimation of sub-sea cable burial depth and position. A passive EM system is used for live cables and a new novel active EM technique for dead buried cables with superior penetration depth compared to industry standard. The EM and acoustic sensor systems can be installed on both AUV, ROV and surface towed arrangements.
