Argeo is an offshore company servicing customers in the Oil and Gas, Marine Minerals and Renewables industry. The company currently operates two subsea vessels, Argeo Searcher and Argeo Venture, and plans for further fleet expansion. The company operates an advanced fleet of 7 AUV, autonomous underwater vehicle, and is on a mission to transform the ocean surveying and inspection industry by utilizing autonomous surface and underwater robotics solutions integrated with proprietary sensor systems. We develop tools, methods, and web applications to allow our customers to make data driven decisions based on the data we collect and process.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Operations Manager to oversee and manage the seamless coordination, supervision, and effective functioning of our maritime fleet. Join us in shaping the future of maritime operations and contribute to the success of Argeo!

 

Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise day-to-day maritime operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the company’s vessels.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to maritime regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvement and operational efficiency in the maritime domain.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication channels with the management team, providing regular updates on vessel operations, challenges, and achievements.
  • Coordinate with different departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies for seamless operational functions.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor vessel performance, maintain accurate operational records, and prepare reports for management review.

 

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Maritime Management or a related field. Work experience can compensate for education.
  • Certifications in Maritime Management or relevant industry certifications.
  • Work experience as Vessel Manager is a plus.
  • Proven experience in maritime management, particularly within the marine industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of systems like TM master and equivalent.
