Watch our webinar presenting a pipeline cathodic protection evaluation using non-contact measurements from a ElectroMagnetic (EM) receiver system called Listen. The EM receiver system is fully integrated on AUVs together with an active EM system (Whisper) for pipeline and cable positioning. A data case, with acquired EM data in combination with synthetic aperture sonar data (SAS), multibeam echosounder data and camera data, will show that fast and reliable information about cathodic protection pipeline status can be achieved. The range and positioning accuracy for buried cables are also demonstrated with data from the active Whisper EM system.
Argeo LISTEN- Electromagnetic Subsea Cathodic Protection Measurement
Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV’s) have been introduced as efficient tools for subsea pipeline inspections. It has also been demonstrated that AUVs can be used to perform contactless and continuous electric field measurements of the Cathodic Protection (CP)...
